Marshfield OR senior Alex Garcia-Silver joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss the first month of his cross country season, which included wins at the Ash Creek XC Classic in Monmouth, Ore. and the Prefontaine Memorial Run in Coos Bay. Garcia-Silver, who was born in Colombia and adopted, talks about the love he has for Colombia and his desire to represent it on a global stage someday. He also embraces the heritage at Marshfield, and trying to live up to the example set by Steve Prefontaine. Garcia-Silver will race on Saturday in the Jim Danner Championship race at Nike Portland XC.
